The Waymaker’s Workshoppe

📜 0x12 Years and counting...

Recent deep-dives into Go, Rust, and Elixir have shaped a more intentional, high-performance approach to software design. This fresh perspective, combined with 18 years of .NET expertise, is focused on delivering robust, straightforward solutions that are simpler to understand and more efficient to run.

I’m a backend software systems engineer at heart, applying a career's worth of architectural thinking to the safety of Rust tools, the distributed concurrency of Elixir frameworks, and the high-speed simplicity of Go services.

This portfolio is a snapshot of that architecture journey.

What I Do for Teams & Systems:

  • Legacy Modernisation: Decoupling bloated, high-dependency .NET systems safely into modern, predictable, and maintainable services.
  • API Architecture & Greenfield Execution: Designing and shipping high-performance, fault-tolerant backend REST/gRPC layers from scratch using Go, Node.js (NestJS/Prisma), and Elixir.
  • Infrastructure Telemetry & Stability: Digging deeply into undocumented, complex systems to optimize query execution, fix data concurrency bottlenecks, and implement resilient asynchronous messaging.
